I have had a love affair with all things Japanese, in particular, Japanese Papers and Crafts, since I was a teenager, which was only fuelled even further during my stays in Japan where I studied Japanese and taught English. (Even our dog is a Japanese Spitz and returned with us from Japan!!)
I was also lucky enough to live close to one of the major traditional paper-making areas of Japan, Gifu, and experience first-hand the paper-making process and its applications in art, craft and in interiors.
After living and teaching English in Japan for five years, my husband and I decided to return to Australia to set up a business where we could have the opportunity to share some of Japan's traditional arts and crafts with Australians.

At Shizen Paper Creations we aim to provide you with an exclusive range of Japanese papers and crafts, as well as unique homewares, gifts and fashion accessories.  We will be constantly sourcing new products from Japan so if you can't find exactly what you are looking for on our website we will do our best to find it for you.
